Funadhoo Airport runway to finish in two days

N. Funadhoo airport runway asphalt laying to finish in two days, says Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).

MTCC CEO Ibrahim Ziyath noted N.Funadhoo Airport will be finished and ready for test flights in 2 days.

MTCC dredger “MahaaJaraafa” reclaimed 21 hector of land west of the island last March.

Land reclamation project and Airport along with runway, apron, and taxiway was handed over to MTCC for MVR 60 million. The project was scheduled to finish early July.

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company have also been working on constructing an airport at Hdh. Kulhufhuffushi which has been completed this week.
