The Notification of Intention to Award for the Gan International Airport Development Project has been presented to the successful bidder. Following a five-day standstill period, the project will officially be awarded to the bidder in accordance with Financial Rules.
This project, which is being financed through a loan from the Exim Bank of India, aims to upgrade the airport terminal with state-of-the-art facilities capable of accommodating 1.5 million passengers per annum. The project will also include the development of duty-free shops, restaurants, lounge facilities, cargo facilities with cold storage for commercial and tourism use, as well as a new control tower and fire station. Additionally, the project will encompass the development of airport roads and parking areas.
