Gili Lankanfushi Maldives has filled three leadership positions through internal promotions across its Engineering and Human Resources departments, continuing its focus on developing existing team members.
Ahmed Majid has been promoted to Director of Engineering after more than 15 years with the resort. Majid joined Gili Lankanfushi in October 2010 as Chief Engineer and has since contributed to engineering projects supporting the resort’s operations, sustainability objectives and long-term development.
Ahmed Visam has been appointed Assistant Human Resources Manager. Visam joined the resort in August 2022 as Assistant Front Office Manager before moving into Human Resources.
During his time at Gili Lankanfushi, Visam has worked across departments and supported both colleagues and guests. The resort said his move into Human Resources reflects his interest in people development and his ability to build relationships across its team.
Brille Ann Reyes has been promoted to Human Resources Supervisor. She joined Gili Lankanfushi in August 2024 as Human Resources Coordinator and has supported the resort’s daily HR operations and workplace environment.
Gili Lankanfushi said the three appointments recognise the employees’ contributions, professional development and performance. The promotions also form part of the resort’s approach to creating career development opportunities within its existing workforce.
Located in North Malé Atoll, Gili Lankanfushi Maldives comprises 45 overwater villas, including seven Crusoe Residences and The Private Reserve. The resort is approximately 20 minutes from Malé by speedboat.
