Ministry of Tourism has decided to release a gold coin to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the tourism industry of the Maldives.
The Government of the Maldives has been conducting various activities throughout the year to celebrate the ‘Golden Jubilee’ of tourism in the Maldives. As part of its efforts, the Tourism Ministry is seeking parties interested in making a gold-plated coin.
Inquiries for further information on the design may be submitted via email before 24th August. The deadline to submit the gold coin is on 29th August.
Earlier this year, the Tourism Ministry and Maldives Post Limited released a new set of stamps to commemorate the 50th anniversary of tourism in the Maldives. The government also introduced and began the use of an official logo for the golden jubilee celebrations this year.
