Google adds hotel booking, flight check-in to Google Assistant

For people working in the corporate community, you are sure to find situations where you have to travel a lot. Business trips, personal vacations and many more different trips. For such excursions, different preparations are required to be made that take up your precious time. As the saying goes, time is money and it is never a good idea to waste money.

Which is why Google has come to your rescue. You can now ask your Google Assistant to make bookings for both your hotel and flight and confirm the bookings at your workplace or home without much hassle. This leaves you with very few details that you have to deal with and hence, makes traveling much easier.

Currently, the system only supports bookings via Choice Hotels, AccorHotels, InterContinental Hotels Group, Priceline, Expedia, Mirai and TravelClick, but Google says more partners will be added. The bookings are powered by the partners’ existing “Book on Google” interaction. After a command given to the assistant for booking either your flight or hotel, you can then reserve the room by using existing Google Pay credentials.

Even though this service is currenly only available for consumers based in US, I’d like to believe that it will be made available in more countries in the future.
