Ministry of Health has decided to reform five additional health centers to hospitals on 26th June 2019. Two companies, Epoch Associates and ArchEng Studios were given the project during the signing ceremony.
Epoch Associates were given MVR 147,953 to upgrade the Health Center in Thimarafushi within 60 days whereas ArchEng Studios were given MVR 477,077 to conclude the reform the remaining four Health centers within 66 days.
In the signing ceremony, the Minister of Health Honorable Abdulla Ameen explained that when the project concludes, all hospitals will have gynaecology and paedeatric services. Furthermore, they will also have dental, physiotherapy and dialysis services.
The five health centers being upgraded are located at; Haa Alif Ihavandhoo, Lhaviyai Hinnavaru, Alif Alif Maamigili, Thaa Thimarafushi and Gaaf Dhaalu Gadhdhoo.
