Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced that work on the design and build of Ha. Ihavandhoo Harbour is well underway, with overall 57% project progress.
The company has commenced casting works of the old harbor pavement on 2nd August 2021.
Scope of works for the project include dredging and excavation operations of 30,509cbm; the construction of a 95m quay wall; a 284m breakwater; and a 178m revetment. Additionally, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights and construction of 4,582sqm of the paved area will also be undertaken.
According to MTCC, the value of the project is MVR 51.7 million.
