The SS railing works of the “Hiyaa Flats” that are developed in Hulhumale’ Phase Two have been allotted to Marinedo, a leading Maldivian company in metal fabrication works.
The “Hiyas Flats” project is the biggest housing project that has been undertaken in the Maldives until now, to provide social housing for Maldivians.
Marinedo revealed to have started SS railing work of eight towers out of sixteen towers which comprise twenty-five floors each. The company further said that the project is expected to be completed by April, as stated in the contract with Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
“Even with the tight restrictions that have been enforced in the Male’ area due to COVID-19, we will be able to complete the project within the deadline,” said the operation director of Marinedo.
Marinedo is a market leader which has gained certitude for structuring marine vessels such as sand barges, landing crafts, and construction of oil tanks. They have also established state-of-the-art equipment set up in a land of 10,000 square feet which is located in Thilafushi.
Marinedo is now working to diversify its services to the government and private sector, not only in the marine industry but as a nationwide service establishment for mechanical and engineering services and solutions.
