Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has signed with Medianet to include its service in HDC’s Open Access Network.
HDC also remarked that Phase 2 residents, especially Hiyaa Flat residents, will be able to receive Medianet services easily at higher speeds.
HDC initiated an Open Access Network deployment in Hulhumale’ Phase 2 to pave way in terms of economic evolution, digitalization of government services, and enhancement of the businesses and lifestyle of residents in this island city.
Open Access fiber cable networks are designed for long-distance, high-performance data networking. Compared to old fashioned copper wire cables, fiber optic cables, which are glass strands encased in insulation, provide higher bandwidth, low latency and ultra high speed capabilities, enabling stable gigabit speed.
