Hotel Asia’s first Barista Challenge to be co-hosted by Best Buy Maldives (BBM) and Meraki in the upcoming month.
The event will take place at Dharubaaruge, from 11th-12th September in the Hotel Asia Exhibition and Culinary Challenge 2018. Best Buy Maldives (BBM), who is the main sponsor for Hotel Asia noted the main reason for the challenge is to expand the specialty coffee industry and to create more opportunities for people who work in this field.
Barista Challenge will be judged by famous names in the industry including Mira Yudhawati, South Asia’s first Q Grade Instructor Adi Taroepratjeka and Ronaldo Prasanto who is Indonesia’s National Barista Challenge Judge since 2014.
More than 250 companies from 46 countries are to participate in the Hotel Asia fair which is organized by the Maldivian Exhibition and Conference Service (MECS).
