Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) stated that the Touch Link card used in their buses can be recharged through Hulhumale shops in the near future.
An MPL official affirmed that even though MPL staff are mobilized in the N1 main bus stop in Hulhumale for the Top Up services, they are now in discussions to hand over the service and once the discourse ends, the service will be officially provided from the shops in Hulhumale.
Though the bus services are currently being provided by MPL, MTCC will soon be undertaking the service, as decided by the Transport Ministry. MTCC also provides ferry services in between Male and Hulhumale. After the opening of Sinamale bridge, they witnessed a significant decline in their daily customers, which led them to discontinue both motorcycle ferries and normal ferries.
