Huravee School Vocational Hub Inaugurated With the Support of MACL

Huravee School Vocational Hub “ Hunaru Vehi,” established with the support of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), has been inaugurated today.

At a special ceremony held today in Huravee School, “Hunaru Vehi” was inaugurated by the Minister of Education, Ismail Shafeeu, MACL CEO, and MD Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed. Minister of Higher Education Mariyam Maria, Principal of Huravee School Abdullah Rasheed, Senior Official from Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Education, MACL Executive members and Huravee School senior management were in attendance.

As part of MACL’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, the vocational hub was developed to cater for the school’s vocational activities.  The project, initiated under the MACL CSR program, aims to enhance education by equipping students with the skills necessary for successful post-graduation employment. This also signifies the collaborative commitment to advancing educational and vocational opportunities for students of the Maldives. Under this project, MACL provided Equipment for carpentry, welding, electrical wiring and sewing required for the vocational hub. Additionally, MACL also covered the costs associated with repairs and maintenance.

 Speaking in the ceremony, MACL CEO and MD Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed emphasised the company’s dedication to community development and education.

In the Ceremony, Minter of Education, Ismail Shafeeu highlighted that education is vital for the country’s success.

In today’s event, the Principal of Huravee School, Abdullah Rashee, expressed his gratitude for the partnership with MACL, acknowledging its positive impact on the school’s educational offerings.

 In addition to the inauguration of “Hunaru Vehi”, two other centres within the school “, Dhasveshi” and “Mariyaadh”, were also inaugurated today.  “Mariyaadh” was opened by Minister of Higher Education Mariyam Maria, while MACL CEO and MD Ibrahim Shareef inaugurated Dhasveshi.
