IndiGo, the Indian low cost airline, has landed its inaugural flight from Cochin to Gan, Addu earlier this week.
This first-of-the-series flight from Cochin to Gan carried 177 passengers.
In partnership with ACE Travels, the airline has planned to commence additional direct flights between Cochin and Gan on the 20th, 24th and 30th of August as well. Each of the flights will carry 180 passengers.
Earlier this month, the airline also announced that it will be launching direct flights from Male’, Maldives to Chennai and Hyderabad, India.
After the addition of these flights, IndiGo will be the airline with the highest connectivity to India from the Maldives, with 6 destinations covered: Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Cochin.
