Institute of Chartered Accountants of Maldives Appoints New CEO

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (CA Maldives) has announced the appointment of Ibrahim Anwar as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

In a press release shared today, CA Maldives highlights Anwar’s wealth of experience and professional background; Anwar holds a Master of Accounting from Monash University, Australia, and a Bachelor of Accounting from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Malaysia.

Anwars professional experience includes his tenure as the Managing Director of Island Beverages Maldives Private Limited, from 2019 to 2023. Furthermore, he served on the board of directors for the Maldives Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) during the same period.

Mr. Anwar’s career trajectory also comprises key positions such as Chairperson of the Audit and Remuneration Committee at Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) and Financial Controller at Islanders Group Private Limited.

Established on 8th September 2020 upon the ratification of the Chartered Accountants Act of the Maldives, CA Maldives is a legally recognized professional accountancy organization in the Maldives.
