Italian Cruise Ship AIDAbella Docks in the Maldives

The eighth cruise ship of the season, MS. AIDAbella, has arrived in the Maldives with over 2,000 passengers. The Italian vessel, boasting 13 decks and 1035 cabins, docked outside Male’ City on April 8th, 2024, after departing from Langkawi, Malaysia.

Carrying 2,148 passengers and 650 crew members, MS. AIDAbella will remain berthed in the Maldives for two days before continuing its journey to Muscat. During their stay, passengers embarked on various excursions within Male City and neighbouring islands, including CROSSROADS Maldives, Maafushi, and Hulhumale’.

The arrival of MS. AIDAbella marks a continuing trend of cruise ship tourism in the Maldives, with three more ships scheduled to visit during the month of April, including Artania, coming from Colombo on the way to Muscat. MS. AIDAbella’s arrival marks a return visit for the vessel, which previously called at the port of Male’ in November 2023.

MS. AIDAbella, operated by AIDA Kreuzfahrten (Cruises) is currently on a 15-day, one-way from Singapore to Dubai.
