The government of the Maldives and the government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday signed an important agreement which demonstrates a pivotal point of progress in the bilateral relationship between the two countries. The signing ceremony was held at the sidelines of the World Government Summit 2022.
The agreement signed today was:
“Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of the Republic of Maldives and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on Experience Exchange on Government Development and Modernization.“
Vice President Faisal Naseem had signed the agreement on Maldives’ behalf, while the Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohamed Al Gerawi signed on behalf of UAE. The MoU aims to aid the Maldives in building institutional capacity and modernisation of Maldives governance framework.
Vice President is currently on an official trip to UAE.
