Aman’s first Maldives development will pair a 52-key resort in Vaavu Atoll with 16 branded residences, each occupying its own private island. Named Amanolu, the property is expected to welcome its first guests in 2028.
Designed by Kerry Hill Architects (KHA), the resort will have separate islands for wellness and recreation. Plans include an Aman Spa, the brand’s Spa Houses, and facilities for diving, snorkelling and other watersports. Dining venues are also planned, although details have yet to be announced.
The residential component, Aman Residences, Amanolu, will comprise five-bedroom homes with private beaches. Each island will have a 25-metre swimming pool, staff accommodation and a personal boat berth. The homes will be positioned for sunrise or sunset views, while some will have beaches on both sides.
Residence owners will have access to the resort’s dining, wellness and recreational facilities. The development brings Aman into the Maldives with a small resort and a residential offering built around individual islands.
