Out of all state-owned companies, the greatest amount of gross profit in Q1 of 2019 was gathered by Maldives Airports Company Ltd (MACL).
This information was released by the Privatization and Corporatization board (PCB).
In the first quarter of 2019, MACL collected MVR572.5 million, as per PCB. This amount is a 44% increase compared to 2018.
As per the press release by PCB, the company that follows MACL in the list is Bank of Maldives (BML) with a gross profit of MVR276.6 million.
The overall gross profit by all state-owned companies in the first quarter is MVR 1.4 billion.
This amount is a 24.4% increase compared to the first quarter of 2018.
