The Maldives Business Chamber has launched a business development training series aimed at helping small and medium enterprises improve their operations, beginning with a session on the practical use of artificial intelligence.

Chamber President Ahmed Amjad said between 30 and 40 participants representing businesses in Malé and the atolls attended the programme, which was conducted by an instructor experienced in information technology and AI.

The session explored how businesses could use AI to complete tasks more quickly, simplify document preparation and reach international markets. It also introduced participants to techniques for improving business management and handling routine work more efficiently.

Participants said the programme provided useful and practical knowledge that could be applied within their businesses.

Established in December 2025 to support the development of the private sector, the Maldives Business Chamber currently represents around 100 member companies.

The Chamber plans to conduct AI training regularly and extend future sessions to more businesses across Malé and the atolls. Companies interested in joining can register through the Chamber’s website.
