The Maldives Customs Service has launched four new online services designed to streamline operations and enhance customer experience. Commissioner of Customs, Yoosuf Maaniu Mohamed, officially introduced the services during a ceremony at the Customs Head Office in Malé City.
The new digital offerings include an online case declaration system, advanced e-agency permits, online trader statistics, and a courier cargo management system. Commissioner Mohamed emphasized the goal of improving public accessibility and efficiency, further underscoring the Customs’ commitment to digitizing operations and reducing reliance on paper-based processes.
The online case declaration system simplifies the declaration process for customers. The Courier Cargo Management System enables real-time package tracking, particularly beneficial for online purchases. Additionally, businesses can conveniently obtain advanced e-agency permits required for Customs clearance through the Customs portal, accelerating the clearance process. The online trader statistics service grants businesses easy access to trade data.
These new services demonstrate the Maldives Customs Service’s dedication to modernization, streamlining processes for customers, and promoting an environmentally conscious approach for businesses.
