On behalf of the people of the Maldives, President of Maldives H. E. Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has decided to donate 1 million cans of tuna to the people of the People’s Republic of China today.
This donation reflects a gesture of goodwill extended towards the people of China by the people of Maldives amidst the rapid escalation and the spread of Novel Coronavirus in China.
The Government and the people of the Maldives stand firmly with the Government and the people of China in their efforts to curb the Novel Coronavirus outbreak. The Government of Maldives acknowledges and appreciates the assistance and assurance extended by the Government of China to the Maldivians currently living in China.
