Maldives Expo 2026 has concluded after nine evenings at Hulhumalé Central Park, drawing more than 205,000 visitors, according to the Business Centre Corporation (BCC). The exhibition featured 4,404 products, an increase of 83.5 per cent from last year.
The expo ran from 25 October to 2 November and brought together 419 exhibitors, up from 240 in 2025. Individuals accounted for more than three quarters of exhibitors, with 321 taking part alongside 75 businesses. Organisations representing persons with disabilities, educational institutions, associations and state-owned enterprises also participated.
The BCC and the Ministry of Economic Development, Transport and Trade organised the expo, which expanded from five exhibition districts last year to seven this year. A new Visitor Economy District gave small and medium-sized tourism businesses a dedicated space to showcase their services. The BCC said the event helped businesses meet prospective customers and investors.
Exhibitors displayed traditional kasabu garments, embroidery and lacquerware alongside work by local artists and designers. Stalls also featured Maldivian food and beverages, while the evening programme included the Boduberu Challenge, other cultural competitions and games for children.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu opened the expo on 25 October, accompanied by First Lady Sajidha Mohamed. President Muizzu visited the exhibition on three evenings during its run.
