Maldives’ High Commissioner to Brunei Presents Credentials to Sultan of Brunei

The non-resident High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to Brunei Darussalam, H.E. Ali Hussain Didi presented his credentials to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzadin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khair Waddien yesterday at Istana Nurul Iman, Bandar Seri Begawan.

The High Commissioner was received in audience by His Majesty the Sultan following the submission of his Credentials. During the audience, the High Commissioner conveyed best wishes from His Excellency Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, President of the Republic of Maldives to His Majesty the Sultan, for his good health and happiness as well as for peace, prosperity, and happiness of the people of Brunei Darussalam.

The Sultan congratulated the High Commissioner on his appointment and assured the full support and cooperation from the Government of Brunei Darussalam in discharging his responsibilities in his capacity as High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to Brunei Darussalam. 

The High Commissioner conveyed his gratitude to the people and Government of Brunei Darussalam for their support to the Maldives, as we continue to strengthen the friendly relations between both countries. 

In his non-resident capacity, the High Commissioner will be discharging his duties from Kuala Lumpur, where he is stationed. The High Commissioner was accompanied by First Secretary at the High Commission of Maldives in Malaysia, Mr Munim Anees.
