A leading destination marketing agency, Maldives Promotion House is delighted to announce the release of its latest publication, Maldives Insider Travel & Tourism.
The first issue of the brand new bi-monthly magazine was officially launched by Mr Moosa Zameer, the Minister of Tourism, at a special ceremony held at The SeaHouse Brasserie. The ceremony was attended by top officials from the hospitality industry as well as the business community.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Zameer congratulated the team at Maldives Promotion House for their initiative and highlighted the important role played by private sector organisations like Maldives Promotion House in destination marketing. He also urged all stakeholders to work together to overcome the challenges faced by the tourism industry and promote the destination.
“Maldives Insider Travel & Tourism comes at a very opportune moment. I’m confident that this new publication will help promote the Maldives in new avenues and give a much-needed boost to our destination marketing efforts,” the minister said.
“The government and I will extend our full cooperation and assistance to the efforts of Maldives Promotion House as well as the private sector as a whole.”
Travel & Tourism has been created with a single goal in mind; to inspire people close to us and from afar to discover the best of what the Maldives has to offer. Be it spectacular resort designs, holistic wellness retreats, green holidays, on-the-sea living, beach dining experiences and extraordinary personalities, we capture the essence of every aspect of the island paradise’s renowned tourism and hospitality industry.
Revolving around a theme set for each issue by a team of in-house travel experts, Travel & Tourism offers the discerning traveller compelling reasons to get up, come and experience the ‘Sunny Side of Life’. Hoteliers, meanwhile, will find expert intelligence and industry happenings from across the archipelago as well as from around the world served up alongside immersive, inspiring travel lifestyle content.
“Maldives Insider Travel & Tourism will serve as an extension to our already popular annual destination guide, Maldives Insider, which caters to inbound travellers. This new magazine will complete our offering of publications targeted towards the tourism industry, with rich content that appeals industry stakeholders,” Ibrahim Mahudhee, the Managing Director of Maldives Promotion House, says.
“We’ll soon be launching an innovative digital platform for Travel & Tourism. So, stay tuned!”
The first issue itself provides an in-depth look into yet another challenging year in the Maldives tourism industry and touches on the history of the industry through the eyes of visionaries, pioneers as well as policymakers. A bit of light reading has also been added, giving travellers as well as industry executives a first-hand experience of travelling around the archipelago and visiting local islands.
Travel & Tourism will be distributed to tourism establishments across the Maldives, with personalised copies sent to executives, including General Managers, F&B Directors and Purchasing Managers. The magazine will also reach corporate offices based in capital Male’ and will be placed in airport lounges throughout the archipelago.
