Maldivian will operate weekly flights between Malé and Bangkok from 8 December 2026 to 19 January 2027, adding travel options around the year-end school holidays.
The seven flights are scheduled for Tuesdays: 8, 15, 22 and 29 December, followed by 5, 12 and 19 January. The schedule begins before the school break and extends beyond it, giving travellers a wider choice of departure and return dates.

Island Aviation, which operates Maldivian, said it arranged the flights to meet increased demand for travel to Thailand during school holiday periods. Bangkok is a popular destination for Maldivian travellers, and the airline has run seasonal services there during previous breaks.
The school holidays are scheduled from 18 December to 12 January. Four of the Tuesday flight dates fall within that period, while the remaining services give travellers options immediately before and after the break.
