Maldives Lands on Abu Dhabi’s Updated COVID-19 ‘Green List’

Abu Dhabi has issued the updated list of ‘Green List’ destinations effective from 2pm on 31st July 2021, which now includes the Maldives.

Vaccinated travellers arriving from destinations on the list will be exempt from mandatory quarantine measures after landing in Abu Dhabi. They will be required to undergo PCR testing upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport, as well as another PCR test on day 6.

Unvaccinated travellers arriving from these countries are exempt from mandatory quarantine, but will also need to undergo PCR testing on arrival, as well as two further PCR tests on day 6 and 12.

In total, the emirate added eight countries to its updated list, including the Maldives, Bahrain, Bulgaria, and the Czech Republic. Twelve countries were removed from the list, including France, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Ireland, where cases are rising due to the spread of the Delta variant.

Effective from 31st July onwards, the full list of green list countries are as follows:
