Maldives Signs 2 MoUs with Kuwait to Fortify Cooperation

The Government of Maldives and the Government of Kuwait has signed two Memorandums of Understanding, at a ceremony held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, in Kuwait City, on Tuesday evening.

The two agreements concluded were a ‘Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait’, and a ‘Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Maldives and the Government of the State of Kuwait in the Field of Tourism’. The MoUs were signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid on behalf of the Maldives, and Foreign Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on behalf of Kuwait.

The MoUs will further strengthen the close ties of friendship between Maldives and Kuwait, develop cooperation in the field of tourism, promote further collaborations and exchanges, and facilitate the effective implementation of key understandings and agreements reached by the Governments of the two countries.
