Maldives has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the government of Georgia on 19th June 2019 during the recently concluded Maldives Partnership Forum 2019.
From Maldives, the MoU was signed by the Minister of Tourism, Honorable Ali Waheed. On behalf of The Minister of Economic and Sustainable Development of Georgia, the Georgian Ambassador appointed to Maldives signed the MoU.
In addition to signing the aforementioned MoU, The Minister also met with the Ambassador of Thailand and South Africa during said Forum to further develop the Maldivian tourism industry. He also met with the Director of Asian Development Bank (ADB).
