Maldives has taken part in the International Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Conference 2019 held in India.
The conference was held from 27th to 29th June 2019.
The heads of the Maldivian delegates who took part in the conference were from SME Development Finance Corporation (SDFC), including their Managing Director Mr. Ahmed Zeenad and some women entrepreneurs.
2019 marks the first year that Maldives took part in the conference.
Prioritizing SME’s is part of the pledges of the current government. In line with this pledge, they have also opened an SME Bank and are ready to issue loans to SME businesses.
