Maldivian Airlines Expands Services with New Route to Colombo

Maldivian Airlines, the national carrier of the Maldives, has announced the launch of its service to Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, Sri Lanka, starting April 25th, 2024. 

In a press release published today, Managing Director of Maldivian Ibrahim Iyas expressed enthusiasm for the commencement of operations to Colombo, stating, “We have eagerly awaited the opportunity to connect Colombo with the Maldives, facilitating both business and leisure travel. This expansion of our international network underscores our commitment to linking the Maldives with the global community. We extend our gratitude to all authorities and partners whose support has made this new route possible.”

Ticket bookings for the new Colombo route will commence on February 29th, 2024, through all of Maldivian’s sales channels, including the official website, mobile application, and ticketing offices.

Maldivian will operate two weekly flights to Colombo, departing every Thursday and Saturday.
