Maldivian Airlines Seeking GSAs to Begin Direct Flights to Major Chinese Cities

Island Aviation, the operator of Maldivian Airlines, is searching for General Cargo Sales Agents (GSAs) to support its operations in the Chinese market. According to Island Aviation, the selected agents will be crucial in promoting the Maldives as a premier travel destination and will collaborate closely with local partners to drive marketing initiatives.

The GSA contracts will last three years, and interested parties must submit their Expressions of Interest (EOI) by the 19th of this month.

In addition to the new flight routes, Island Aviation will bolster its fleet by acquiring a new Airbus A330-200. This state-of-the-art aircraft, featuring configurations for business class, premium economy, and economy class seating, will have a capacity to accommodate up to 264 passengers.

The introduction of the A330-200 is scheduled for the first quarter of next year, presenting a significant upgrade in connectivity for international travellers.

Maldivian Airlines currently operates flights to Dhaka, Bangladesh; Trivandrum, Cochin, Bangalore, India; and Colombo, Sri Lanka.
