Maldivian Expands Domestic Network with New Southern Route

Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, is set to bolster connectivity in the southern atolls with a new domestic route linking Gan International Airport (GAN) in Seenu Atoll and Kooddoo Airport (GKK) in Huvadhoo Atoll. Scheduled to commence on 29th October 2024, the service will operate twice weekly.

This expansion is part of the government-led South Connectivity Initiative, a collaborative effort between Maldivian, Addu International Airport, the Ministry of Transport & Civil Aviation, the Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation, and the Ministry of Tourism. The initiative aims to enhance tourism infrastructure, improve commercial connectivity, and support economic development in the Maldives’ Southern Zone.

Ticket booking opened on 4th April 2024, and will be available through Maldivian’s various sales channels, including its website, mobile app, ticketing office, and authorized sales agents.
