The national flag carrier of Maldives, Maldivian announces that the company will be operating two additional airports in the country.
Director of Flight Operations, Captain Mohamed Ameen stated that the national airline will be in charge of operating two airports which are currently in development. The government will announce this news shortly.
Maldivian currently operates four airports in the country including the one in B. Dharavandhoo and GA. Kooddoo.
The airlines operates a number of scheduled international flights to six cities in China in addition to Bangladesh, Thailand and India.
The government has planned to develop a number of airports nationwide, including Sh. Fonadhoo, which is being developed at a rapid speed.
