Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has extended the duration of maternity and paternity leaves as of 18 March 2019.
Maternity leave for female employees is to be a duration of six months with a full compensation including salary for public holidays. Furthermore, male employees are to get a paid paternity leave of 1 month inclusive of public holidays from the day their wives give birth.
The changes which were made by Honorable President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, as part of the first 100 day pledges of the new government, have now been introduced in to the company and implemented into the human resource policies.
