- MIC Group promoted Mohamed Nisham to Chief Financial Officer, expanding his responsibilities across its aviation, hospitality and tourism businesses.
- As CFO, Nisham will lead financial strategy, planning, governance, budgeting, risk management, regulatory compliance and investment evaluation.
- Nisham joined MIC Group in February 2025 and previously held senior finance roles at Oaga Art Resort, Amilla Maldives and Anantara Kihavah Villas.
Maldives Inflight Catering (MIC) Group has promoted Mohamed Nisham to Chief Financial Officer, expanding his responsibilities across the Group’s aviation, hospitality and tourism businesses.
Nisham joined MIC Group as Chief Financial Controller in February 2025. Since then, he has contributed to improving financial discipline, operational efficiency and financial management across its business units.
As Chief Financial Officer, Nisham will lead the Group’s financial strategy, planning and governance. His responsibilities will include financial performance, budgeting, risk management, regulatory compliance, investment evaluation and financial systems.
He will also work with leadership teams across the Group to support financial decision-making and long-term growth.
Ali Shakir, Group General Manager of MIC Group, said Nisham had demonstrated sound judgement, financial discipline and an understanding of the Group’s operational priorities. He said the promotion reflected Nisham’s contribution and the Group’s confidence in his ability to guide its financial strategy.
Nisham said his focus would remain on financial governance, responsible resource management and supporting informed decision-making across the Group.
He holds a Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from the University of Suffolk. Before joining MIC Group, he served as Financial Controller at Oaga Art Resort and held senior finance positions at Amilla Maldives and Anantara Kihavah Villas.
MIC Group comprises Maldives Inflight Catering, Hulhule Island Hotel and Madifushi Private Island.
