Michael Parker has been appointed General Manager for Minor Hotels’ AMD cluster properties in Maldives: Anantara Veli, Anantara Dhigu and Naladhu Private Island.
Hailing from the United Kingdom, Michael is joining the AMD cluster from the South Place Hotel in London. Prior to his current role, Michael was Managing Director of Rosewood Phnom Penh and held Managing Director roles within Rosewood at their properties in Sanya and Guangzhou in China. Michael also previously held the Managing Director role at Banyan Tree, Shanghai and General Manager roles at Wanda Hotels and GLH Hotels in the UK.
Located in South Male Atoll, a short speed boat ride from Male, Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort, Anantara Veli Maldives Resort, and Naladhu Private Island form a cluster of three hotels. In its Indian Ocean portfolio, Minor Hotels feature 6 properties, Anantara Kihavah Maldives, Anantara Veli Maldives, Anantara Dhigu Maldives, Naladhu Maldives, Niyama Maldives, and the newly opening Avani + Fares Resort Maldives in the first quarter of 2023.
