The Chevening Scholarships programme is the UK Government’s global scholarship programme, by which scholarships are awarded to those individuals with strong academic backgrounds who can also demonstrate their leadership potential.

The “Chevening/Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) Scholarships” are for Maldivian students wishing to study for a one-year Master’s degree in a Travel and Tourism related programme at any accredited university in the UK. The partnership is set to cover two scholarships over the course of two academic years – 2022/23 and 2023/24.

MATI intends to increase and enhance this program depending on the success of this inaugural initiative.
