MTCC and Planning Ministry Partner for V. Fulidhoo Harbor Development Project

The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has officially entered into an agreement with the Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure for the V. Fulidhoo Harbour Development Project.

CEO Adam Azim, representing MTCC, and Ms Fathimath Shaana Farooq, the Director General, representing the Ministry, formally endorsed the agreement.

The project includes the dredging of a new harbour basin spanning 41,413 cubic metres and channel dredging operations covering 7,812 cubic metres. 

Furthermore, it involves the movement of 30,708 cubic metres of sand for reclamation, the construction of a 439-metre revetment, a 174-metre geobag revetment, a 77-metre breakwater, a 25-metre groyne, and a 300-metre quay wall.

Additionally, a 1,450-square-metre pavement will be laid, and navigational and harbour lights will be installed.

The project is valued at MVR 63.46 million.
