Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has commenced the works of Ha. Muraidhoo Harbor Development Project and works of Ha. Hoarafushi Road Development Project.
Hon. MP Ahmed Abdulla, Baarah Constituency, inaugurated the commencement of physical works of Ha. Muraidhoo Harbor Development Project today. The scope of the project includes, construction of a 212m quay wall, a 407m breakwater, a 107m repair work of breakwater, a 105m revetment, a 50m groyne, dredging operations of harbor and channel, construction of a ramp, a walkway bridge, installation of navigation lights and harbor lights. The project is valued at MVR 33.72 million and is expected to be completed before the end of this year.
Hon. MP Ahmed Saleem, for Hoarafushi Constituency inaugurated the commencement of physical works of Ha. Hoarafushi Road Development Project. The scope of the project includes, construction of 11 roads measuring 5.3km in length, construction of a 25,909 sqm carriageway, installation of 11,114sqm pavement, installation of stormwater infiltration system, streetlights and road markings. This project is valued at MVR 71.90 million and is expected to be completed within the next seven months.
