The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has successfully finished the Quay wall block installation in the Sh. Maaungoodhoo Harbour Development Project.
The New Harbour basin dredging work stands at 57% completion, and the harbour paving work is now 70% complete.
The project encompasses various operations, including 59,013 cubic metres of dredging operations and 3,245 cubic metres of channel dredging. Additionally, it involves constructing a 362-metre breakwater, a 312-metre quay wall, and a 105-metre revetment.
The development also includes the installation of 1,509 square metres of harbour pavement, the construction of a ramp and concrete jetty, and the placement of harbour lights and mooring buoys.
The total project is valued at MVR 56.79 million
