MTCC has signed an agreement with Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure towards implementation of R. Maakurathu Harbor Development Project and implementation of R. Ungoofaaru Channel Relocation Project. CEO Adam Azim signed the agreements on behalf of MTCC and Ms. Zeeniya Hameed, PS, signed on behalf of the Ministry. Ungoofaaru Constituency MP Mohamed Waheed graced the ceremony.
R. Maakurathu Harbor Development Project is valued at MVR 26.67 million and the project is to be completed within 350 days. Scope of works include, dredging & excavation operations of 45,023.84cmb, construction of a 140m breakwater, a 28m groyne, a 85m revetment, a 129m quay wall, and installation of 641sqm pavement.
R. Ungoofaaru Channel Relocation Project is valued at MVR 18.58 million and the project is to be completed within 210 days. Scope of works involve, channel dredging operations of 41,980cbm, construction of a 162m breakwater, and installation of navigation lights.
