MTCC Contracted for Shore Protection Projects in 5 Islands

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has signed with Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (MNPHI) of Maldives to design and build shore protection structures in five islands.

For each of the projects, CEO Adam Azim signed on behalf of MTCC and Permanent Secretary Zeeniya Ahmed Hameed signed on behalf of the MNPHI.

The shore protection project on the first island, M. Mulah, involves the construction of a 411.90m geo bag revetment. The value of the project is MVR 17.66 million and the project is to be completed within 105 days.

For the contracted shore protection project at V. Rakeedhoo, project works involve the construction of a 200m breakwater and 40m groynes. The value of the project is MVR 9.16 million and the project is to be completed within 105 days.

MTCC was also contracted for a shore protection project at R. Fainu. Project works involve the construction of 8100cbm of backfilling and bed preparation works and the construction of 250m geo bag revetment. The value of the project is MVR 8.96 million and the project is to be completed within 180 days.

The shore protection project at B. Thulhaadhoo involves the construction of 11,700cbm of backfilling and bed preparation works and the construction of 280m geo bag revetment. The value of the project is MVR 10.13 million and the project is to be completed within 150 days.

Lastly, the project works at R. Rasmaadhoo involve construction of a 336m groynes. The value of the project is MVR 11.68 million and the project is to be completed within 180 days.
