Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has announced that the physical works of the HA. Thakandhoo water and sewerage project are currently ongoing.
According to MWSC, the company is currently constructing the RO facility building needed to house the water plant. Equipment and materials needed for the project have been transported to Thakandhoo.
The water project in Thakandhoo involves establishing an 8.37-kilometer main water pipeline network, construction of an RO facility, installation of two RO plants, and three water tanks to store water.
The project was contracted to MWSC by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure for MVR 76 million. The company is required to complete the project within 540 days.
