Mr. Ibrahim Abdul Razzag Haleem, former Managing Director of Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC) has been appointed as new the Chief Executive Officer of Maldives Ports Limited.
The appointment came following the departure of former CEO of MPL, Mr. Mohamed Junaid, who tendered his resignation. Mr. Junaid spoke to the media regarding his resignation, and has acclaimed it to his decision to pursue his private business interests, and has also stated that he is no longer interested in employment in the public sector.
Mr. Haleem has served at several key posts in the past, including as the CEO of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc (MTCC). Mr. Haleem’s appointment has been confirmed by the Privatization Board, also Mr. Mohamed Nimal will has been appointed to the post of MD of MRDC.
