New Managing Directors have been appointed for three State-owned companies

New Managing Directors have been appointed for three state-owned companies namely State Trading Organisation (STO), Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) and Island Aviation Services.

According to the President of Privatization and Corporatization board Mr Mohamed Nizar, Managing DIrectors have been appointed for State Trading Organization (STO), Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) and Island Aviation Services.

Mr. Hussain Amru Mohamed Rashad, Managing Director of STO

Mr Hussain Amru Mohamed has been appointed as the Managing Director of STO. Mr Hussain Amru had previously fulfilled the position as the Undersecretary of Presidents Office and the CEO of MTCC.

Mr. Adam Azim, Managing Director of MWSC

Mr Adam Azim has been appointed as the Managing Director of MWSC. Mr Azim had previously filled the Managing Director’s position in STO.

Mr. Mohamed Rizvee, Managing Director of Island Aviation Services

Mr Mohamed Rizvee has been appointed as the Managing Director of Island Aviation Services. Mr Rizvee had previously been the Head of Maldivian Holidays.

There have been several changes in some state-owned companies where some directors have been dismissed while new directors are being appointed. Such as the former CEO and MD of Dhiraagu, Mr Ismail Waheed has been appointed as the Chairman of Dhiraagu.
