Ooredoo Boki Boalha — A Fun-Filled Weekend of Bumper Ball Football

Ooredoo Maldives Managing Director and CEO, Khalid Al Hamadi, kicked off the highly anticipated Ooredoo Boki Boalha tournament on Friday, marking the beginning of an exciting weekend of football matches played in bumper balls.

The Bumper Ball football tournament featured some of the best corporate teams in the Maldives competing for the first prize of MVR 20,000.

The tournament kicked off with an exciting start as Crossroads Maldives took on Tekkers, showcasing their skills in Bumper Ball Football to secure a win. Both teams put up a heroic effort, where Crossroads Maldives emerged victorious with a score of 2-0. In the second match of the day, Brollerz (Rage Fitness) took on Tree Top Hospital ERC. Brollerz (Rage Fitness) dominated the game from start to finish and secured a comfortable 4-0 victory. The last match of the day saw Shaviyani and Tekkers battle it out in a closely contested match. In the end, Tekkers emerged as the winners with a hard-fought 1-0 victory.

Each match in the tournament lasts for 10 minutes, consisting of two halves with a 3-minute break. During the group stage matches, three points will be awarded for a win and one point for a draw. In the knockout stage, if two teams are tied, a penalty shootout will be held. While the first-place team will receive an impressive MVR 20,000, while the second-place team will be granted MVR 10,000, and the third-place team will receive MVR 5,000 as a prize.

On 8th April, Saturday, the remaining group stage matches kicked off at 9pm. The final match is played between the teams that won first place in each group.
