Ooredoo Maldives Announces Virtual Extraordinary General Meeting

Ooredoo Maldives Plc has confirmed plans to hold its Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) virtually on Sunday, 15th December 2024, at 8:00 PM. Shareholders are required to pre-register or appoint a proxy by 8:00 PM on Friday, 13th December, through the Maldives Securities Depository (MSD) platform, “Infinity.” Participation in the meeting will be facilitated through the online platform “FahiVote.”

The EGM will address a detailed agenda, beginning with remarks from Chairperson Ms. Fatima Sultan Al-Kuwari and Managing Director and CEO Mr. Khalid Hassan M A Al-Hamadi. Key items include the approval of amendments to the company’s Memorandum and Articles of Association, the adoption of a revised version incorporating these amendments, and the approval for the sale and transfer of shares in Techfin Maldives Pvt Ltd to OFT International LLC. Shareholders will also have the opportunity to discuss relevant topics before the meeting concludes.

Eligibility to participate and vote requires registration as a shareholder by 2:00 PM on Wednesday, 27th November 2024. Each shareholder is entitled to one vote per share, with all voting conducted electronically. Registered shareholders and proxies will receive login details from MSD by 3:00 PM on the day of the meeting, allowing them to join “FahiVote” from 7:45 PM onwards.
