Ooredoo Atholhu Dhuvun has officially begun, joined by over 5000 runners from across the Maldives and beyond. A first of its kind virtual run across all twenty atolls of the Maldives – it aims to promote togetherness through sport during a time where we are forced to be physically distant from loved ones. The virtual run features two categories where preselected runners will complete a 15km run across 20 Atolls and aa 5km category that will be open for the public to participate from where ever they are.
5K Fun Run
Participants can join the virtual run from their homes or a nearby running track from wherever they are and complete the run whenever they want throughout the weekend (28th & 29th August 2020).
- Complete the 5K using any recommended running app (Strava, Garmin Connect, Runtastic, Nike Run Club and Runkeeper) to track your run.
- Submit a screenshot of your completed run route from your App to the Atholhu Dhuvun Portal to claim your medal.
15K Relay
The 15K Relay across the 20 Atolls symbolizes Ooredoo’s 15 years of journey in connecting all communities in the Maldives through their nationwide network and commitment and leading role in ensuring inclusive and quality services for all. The run which will be held this evening on 28th August 2020 will feature a runner from each atoll will also showcase the beautiful running routes across the Maldives, which greatly differs from region to region.

We advise all runners to abide by the HPA regulations to protect themselves, loved ones and other runners. Unlike other runs, Ooredoo Atholhu Dhuvun 5km run can be completed anytime, anywhere during 28th & 29th August allowing the runners to maintain social distancing.
