Ooredoo Maldives recently ignited the Maldivian gaming scene with the launch of the EAFC Maldives Championship Contender Series 1. The event, held on 18th April 2024 at the Ooredoo Headquarters in Hulhumale’, kicked off with an exciting opening match between Ooredoo Chief Technology Officer Mr. Malkhan Singh Tanwar and Director of Operations Mr. Shabeen Ali.
The three-day tournament featured a round-robin format with three players vying for the top spot. A prize pool of MVR 15,000 was up for grabs, with the first-place winner taking home MVR 8,000, second place receiving MVR 4,500, and third place securing MVR 2,500.
This tournament marks the beginning of an exciting year for Ooredoo Nation, with more events lined up for aspiring gamers in the Maldives. Ooredoo has also announced the quest to crown the “Ultimate Player” of Ooredoo Nation Gamers Land. Gamers will need to demonstrate exceptional skills across three game series to claim this coveted title. The Ultimate Player will become a legend within the gaming community, inspiring gamers and demonstrating that anything is possible in the world of competitive esports.
