Ooredoo Maldives Launches International Money Transfer Service with MoneyGram

Ooredoo Maldives has rolled out a new international money transfer service in collaboration with MoneyGram International, Inc. This partnership allows customers in Maldives to send money globally directly from the m-Faisaa digital wallet platform.

In a press release shared today, Ooredoo reveals the service will enable users to transfer funds to recipients’ bank accounts, mobile wallets, or arrange for cash pick-up at MoneyGram agent locations worldwide. This move aims to cater to the increasing demand for convenient and efficient cross-border money transfers.

Khalid Al Hamadi, Managing Director & CEO of Ooredoo Maldives, expressed delight in the launch of the international money transfer services, stating, “We are delighted to officially launch international money transfer services from our digital wallet m-Faisaa in partnership with MoneyGram, for the first time in Maldives. Catering to the need for fast, reliable and convenient money transfers, m-Faisaa provides a solution for our expat community, business travelers and students residing abroad, breaking barriers and challenges encountered in traditional money transfer services.”
